I've heard people say that they think his heart is not really in boxing. That he happens to be very good at it, but he looks at it like a job, and maybe not one he really likes that much. Which is reasonable. I think he maybe has put away enough cash that he only wants to fight if it's 100 percent his way.

you all havent seen many of his fights? he is one of my favorite boxers as far as talent because he has loads of it.
as far as the salido fight goes when his nose was busted he still did a good job, and maybe now at this time more people understand what a threat salido is and was at the time they can understand not wanting to fight out more rounds with a busted nose, against a warrior.

He and Top Rank have a vandetta against each other.

Mickey got mad cause they lied to him about the money amount that was gonna be paid for the gamboa garcia fight and when he found out he started ruffling their feathers, so Top rank put him on ice hoping they put the kid back in place and mickey was trying to work out a deal with top rank but they never were opened to a deal now Top rank wants to deal with mickey but now mickey said that time has passed that they are taking it to court to the fullest extent.

He even said he doesnt care if his career ends up ruined after this cause he is tied up in court rooms for the next years but he hopes it helps the new wave of fighters that they dont have get bullied by their promoters and take it that their is options.

According to some online article the trial to resolve the contract dispute with Arum starts february 2016. His last fight was january 2014. He is 27.
