Honestly, if there is a rivalry its a one way street. I never hear any Americans making a big deal about needing to beat a Brit. American fans are not prone to being nationalistic though. At all. English fans will follow fighter anywhere in the world and light the place up. When is the last time American fans did that? Look at the fights you listed

antony joshua vs dentay wilder I'd root for Joshua.
adnre ward vs james degale I'd root for Ward.
framton vs donair Root for Donair.
eubankjr vs kid chocalate Root for a double ko.
khan vs thyrman,,, Don't care who wins.

Now how do you start a rivalry based on that?

Brits did. Americans knew that Tyson was washed up and that was Mayweather at the height of his "Money" persona. Most of those fans on both sides were rooting for him to lose.

Take the chance and sign big names to fight each other 2 times. One here and the 2nd there (pick which first).

Brook VS Thurman is really the only UK VS US fight that gets me excited. Also, it'd have to be in the UK because here in the states it would just seem like any other good fight and wouldn't have the same nationalistic rivalry feel to it. Ward VS DeGale would be good too I suppose, but again, make it in the UK.

I think things change on a dime in boxing. I don't see a reason for multi fight agreements with the same opponent. Could KO a guy in 3 one sided rounds. Whats the point in fighting again on home turf?

I remember growing up and having that looking down on the British fighter type of attitude like they are inferior to American fighters. If there is a rivalry it comes from the british side of it not the amercian side.
