This guy is a clown. Just because that's what he thinks boxing is, doesn't mean that's what the buying public thinks it is. Boxing is not an essential service, it is entertainment. That's its only value to the buying public, and the public doesn't think much of it compared to other sports.

I'm not talking about his numbers. There's always hype before his fights. Then he fights and nobody is jumping for joy in excitement and it's usually in eventful. After he fights, everyone is talking about how it was a waste of money. Ppl can't fall in love with something that doesn't excite them.

              1. The meaning of boxing is to win and beat your opponent up more than he beats you up. Nothing more nothing less.

              2. Looking back at the true history of boxing, the only way to win was to stop your opponent. Not bore him to death.

              3. The Sweet Science of Briusing, folks.

              4. Spinks was limited his damn self.

              5. Who cares about Floyd the guy was a steroid cheat.

As much as I often agree with Larry. This I do not. Floyd never sold fights based of his skill... Yes their are a few boxing fans that truly enjoy the sport for what it truly is, but that small number is outnumber by fans who truly don't know the sport. Floyd sold his personality, he sold numbers being the villian, sold ppv snuck being the most hated sports icon in his era and he sold those tickets/ppvs to the higher number of individuals who wanted to see him get KO'ed; not to see his immaculate defensive skills.

Being hated sells the most numbers... Ask Pac. Always number two to the villian.
Tyson figured it out making his biggest fights after his prison stint... Ali is often forgotten how a high percentage of viewers disliked Ali for a long period of his career.

But wildly incorrect about damn near everything... People often forget that when boxing first started it was bare knuckle and fights sometimes lasted into 40+ rounds... And fights did hold a mark of rounds. Fighters often taking time, only throwing 10 punches a round but being smart enough to evade punches made you last. Not your offense and trying to knock out an opponent in round 1... The NonPareil Jack Dempsey boxed 28 rounds for the world Middleweight title... Jack Johnson lost in the 26th round to Jess Willard... James Jefferies went 25 rounds with a nobody to win a decision. John L Sullivan went a whole 75 rounds for his Heavyweight Championship Bare Knuckle Crown.

Don't be so but hurt, your foolish enough to make idiotic comments.

I agree. Floyd stunk up the game. Al Haymon really. But is all whirl win of bullshlt. Promoters and networks and managers.

One guy wants 95% the other guy thinks he is worth more. Its out of hand. Nobody gives a shlt anymore.
