Comments Thread For: Roach Prefers Marquez For Manny Pacquiao's Next Fight

So who does trainer Freddie Roach prefer to have Manny Pacquiao face in his return to the ring in 2016?

    ''(Juan Manuel) Marquez,"answered Roach.

The only problem is Marquez has made statements that he simply has no interest in a fifth go-around with 'the Pac Man'.

Manny should just expose Keith Thurman and retire. Marquez isn't fighting anymore.

Enough with Marquez already, he said he doesn't want to fight, many fans say the saga is done. IMO it's tied, and we should keep it that way. Pacquiao is the overall better fighter but styles make fights and he had trouble with Marquez. Both future hall of fame fighters.

I would want to see a 5th fight, but Marquez seems set to retire.

Let Manny fight 2 more fights and that's it.

It would be nice if Manny would go off and fight someone other than Khan who simply has done nothing to deserve any sort of payday or top welter fight.Marquez would be interesting and thurman would be dramatic and Brook would most definitely be a step up.

Highly unlikely. Marquez wants to leave on a high note and Heredia wants nothing to do with feeding Conte's VADA.

Freddy should stop saying he wants an easy opponent for Manny, it doesn't look good.
