Why does Boxingscene use post old khan interviews?

to be fair, im not an A Mere Con fan by any stretch but the way they publish the articles makes him open for ridicule very easily

when you post a snippet of an interview, its hard to know what context he was saying it in, how he was answering the question, what his demeanour was.

Also the headline is usually totally different to what the actual quotes were

And then the quotes are hard to analyse without seeing the full video interview

the way boxing scene publishes articles, it makes it look as if khan just says headline material every sentence.

"If I beat Pac, Mayweather will fight me!"

On the face of it, you'd think Khan was being his usual dumb self.

but he could have been saying "If I beat Pac, mayweather might fight me but i dont hold much hope for it..." with a more resigned tone rather than an upbeat arrogant tone.

Do people see where im coming from?

Also this applies to any boxer being quoted. Very easy to make a headline out of what was probably some innnocent quotes.

Andre Ward says "There's no one else left to beat"
Article actually says, there's no one left in my division. I may need to move up or down to get some decent fights

Headline "Ward proclaims himself as the P4P King!"

Don't worry, I'm a Khan fan too. The guy has the best or one of the best considering how you look at Bradley, 140lb resumes in post Hatton. He has time and time again proven he has balls and a never say die attitude. I know people don't want to hear this but their main dislike for Khan is his colour, nationality or religion. I know average BS poster can't look beyond that so you have no need to defend yourself.

In terms of Khan wanting Mayweather, he got played and May just used him to stay relevant in the British media at times. Having said all that, I have never had problems with fighters calling out the best guys around, isn't that what contenders are supposed to do? How do you think Ali got a shot at Liston or Moore against Marciano? Heck Moore wrote over 500 letters in a span of less than a year lol

However, I don't care about Khan's charity work, if it was real charity, he wouldn't advertise it.

I am huge khan fan and I check out his interviews on various outlets. Every time I come to boxing scene it uses his interviews over and over again. Khan has been doing a lot of charity work for refugees that are coming from syria and there hasnt been one article about that. There are always quoting his old interviews about how he wants to fight mayweather.

This is just a crappy blogging website with no standards, you should not be reading anything posted here as news.

The sites owner, Bigpoppapump, has publicly made a fool of himself saying Zab was going to destroy Khan. Ever since then, he has had this childish vendetta.

Honestly, I find it really funny. They will make literally a dozen articles about the same weeks old Khan interview, pretending that each time it is a new interview. Twist his words, and lie. Making up headlines. Putting !!!!!!! exclamation points on sentences that were either not said, or exaggerated.

Always, puts !!!!! points for Khan, but not other fighters, LOL. The main writer that covers Khan on this site is really unhinged.

Naah...i tried to like Kahn but he fuxxx it up every time he opens his mouth...he's not as good as he thinks he is and he puts other fighters down who are active and more deserving of a big money fight...race has nothing to do with it or religion...dude is just annoying as f^ck...

Exactly. It's only Khan they do this to. You would expect this in Britain, a very racist nation. But, even then, this site's coverage of him, really has devolved into a joke. Khan talks no more, or no less than an average fighter who sells himself. If you poke your head outside of this site, that is obvious to anyone with a brain.

Hmmmm, Khan spending his own money AND TIME. How many other boxers personally went to Syria to hand out food to refugees? It's pretty ridiculous to question his motives, when one does that. It's easy to sign a cheque.

Not so easy to do what Khan did. Humanitarian work is commendable, especially when the person doing it is obviously genuine. But I guess, in the boxing world you should be beating women and acting like thug to get more respect.
