Last week in the private downstairs portion of the Wild Card Boxing Club, renowned trainer, Freddie Roach, was working with a new boxer - former light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal, who spent four days with Roach.

"It was a trial run," explained Roach. "(Pascal) wanted to come to see me, how it was here. I offered him to spar with Denis Lebedev who's getting ready for his next fight, they can help each other."

I made this suggestion like 3 years ago. I said Pascal style would mesh well with Roach, Pascal is an ambush explosive fighter like Pacquiao, only problem with Pascal is he never utilizes it much, that is his gift, he fails to throw those combos often but when he does explode from angles he shocks and hurts guys bad. He just needs to get his stamina up but the guy can scrap, if his stamina is in condition he is a trouble for anyone.

Freddy looks so scary another top fighter wants him to train him. Most people lazy he holds mits all day with a disease training keeps him alive grow up dude. Most decorated trainer of the decade actually interned and learned from a legend futch for 10 years

Yeah, thats the only problem roach cant do mitts anymore, he needs to let someone else handle it while he gives instructions from the corner.

The reason the Pascal/Beterbiev fight didn't happen was because they're both trained by Marc Ramsay. Pascal knew he was looking for another trainer when he turned that fight down.
