Floyds ego is what will get him back in the ring. nothing else. 50 and 0 and not being tied with anyone is what secures him fighting again.
Will new arena lure mayweather back for #50

If Mayweather makes a comeback it'll have lil to nothing to do with the new arena. There is far more money to be made outside of the extra gate of this bigger arena that it'd have much impact on a Floyd comeback decision.Comment

I hope he stays retired and i hope Pacquiao retires soon. There's plenty of good talent coming through, not on their level but still very good talent and evenly matched guys that could make for some great fights. 2016 should be the start of a new era. No Mayweather, no Pacquiao and having to sift through threads and threads of their fanboys bickering just to find a decent boxing conversation.
I actually think he will stay retired but of course it wouldn't surprise me if you're right but i don't think it'll be the arena that does it, he probably doesn't care. It would have to be a huge paycheque. He was the best of his era and has nothing to prove and made plenty of dough so he should walk away now.Comment

Floyd will likely be a part of the inaugural event/press event, but I doubt that he actually steps into the ring, especially if that April completion date holds up. Floyd's helped make far too much money for the MGM Grand, for MGM to try and push him into anything.Im of the minority that thinks there is actually a good chance mayweather dont fight again. The idea that he will run out of money and this and that imo is ridiculous. U dont just burn thru 700 million with investments on top of that. But the reason i write this is the one thing that keeps me from thinking he is for sure done is the fact the mgm is scheduled to open their brand new arena in april. You would have to think the mgm would offer him a ton of money to do it. I was of the belief that he wouldnt fight again but now that im thinking more about it i think the arena and flat out all the money he would be offered to do it would be to hard to pass up. Well see if i had to bet i would say hes done but now im starting to move to the side of he will fight 1 or 2 more times. Anyway i know this subject has been beaten to hell and back but what do you guys think? will the arena lure mayweather back for 1 more fight? The mgm actually wants him to be the very first event which is less likely considering they are scheduled to open in april but he could end up being the first boxing match there.

There are only a handful of showdowns that are big enough, in my opinion, for MGM Resorts to open up the new building with: Stevenson-Kovalev, Cotto-Alvarez 2, Ward-Golovkin, Wilder-Povetkin, Pacquiao-Marquez V, and Wilder-Kliscthko.
If all six of those showdowns fall apart, MGM may just pay out Floyd a stake in the corporation to come back, if that's what it'd take to get him back into a pair of gloves.Comment

Possibly if they offer just crazy money even for him otherwise he wont come back , and he wont come back to lose , I think his skills have slipped a long way in the last 2 years and will slip even more at an accelerated rate as he nears 40 .
Floyds boxing is all about speed and reflex , its the first to leave a fighter I cant see him lowering himself to be a rope a dope kinda guy , he knows he doesnt love the fight game any more , cant blame him after 20yrs of fighting .
For mine Floyd is done as a fighter he has more money than you can poke a stick at and has friends that are some of richest people in America , he wont ever be broke , hate on him all you want but one thing is he very smart with business .Comment

That arena looks awesome, hadn't seen the sketch ups before. You know, Floyd has proven and admitted he contradicts himself. I remember him saying once "one day I wake up feeling one way, and the other day I wake up feeling another way". He is a very unpredictable person in terms of feelings and decisions.
I believe the window still open, and the #50 will be more tempting than the arena itself.Comment
