Comments Thread For: Lucas Matthysse: Brook vs. Chaves Will Be a Good Fight

Lucas Matthysse (37-3, 34 KOs) is just a few days away from his WBC junior welterweight title clash with Viktor Postol (27-0, 11 KOs). Following one of his last training sessions before flying out to the United States, Matthysse offered BoxingScene.com some thoughts looking back on his last fight against Ruslan Provodnikov as well as a look ahead to his countryman Diego Cháves' challenge against Kell Brook. Matthysse is absolutely right. It's going to be action packed from start to finish.

I really enjoy watching Matthysse fight, and the same goes for the Argentine boxers I've seen: Maidana, Martinez and Chaves. They bring it! That said, I don't think loosing a close call necessarily equates to getting robbed. Personally I though Matthysse beat both Alexander & Judah, but it was close and there's a strong argument to say he simply didn't do enough to make sure he won on foreign ground.

Chaves is good and it won't be an easy night for Brook, but down the stretch Brook will punish him. Brook needs some tough opponents to really show what he's about.
