Comments Thread For: Chudinov-Sturm II in Talks: Groves or Andre Ward Next?

According to Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov, talks are already taking place for WBA 'regular' super middleweight Fedor Chudinov (14-0, 10KOs) to defend his title in a rematch against Felix Sturm (39-5-3, 18KOs).

Chudinov won the title with a twelve round split decision over Sturm in May. For whatever reason the WBA ordered a rematch between the two of them.

I was at the Buglioni fight and Chudinov does get hit an awful lot when you punch with him. He is a very sharp, crisp puncher though.

He should probably still be learning and thing or two before facing one of the big fighters at 168.

What hell is up with the WBA why don't they order a mandatory for both Chudinov and Ward?

With the door now open to boxing in Sweden Chudinov might be better off throwing down the gauntlet to Badou Jack for a WBA/WBC unification in Stockholm, Malmo or Gothenburg. I'm sure the financial reward would be good!

I personally think Ward's day's @ 168Lb are over & gone, Maybe the WBA could create a 172Lb title to cater for him as he won't crack it @ 175 & they can cream off more sanctioning fees!!....
