Why do all Puerto Rican and Mexican fans assume Corrales is going to lose the third fight? Do you all just want Mexico vs. Puerto Rico that bad?

I always said that all Corrales had to do to beat Castillo was move his feet. It was so avois he planted himself infront of Castillo for one of those pointless Mexican wars. As soon as he won, a rematch was made, why? Do watch them go to war again, not for legacy.

Corrales is a fool for not trying to box in the 2nd fight. That way if he got knocked out, he'd have a new plan the third fight. Now he can't try boxing because it could backfire on him and end his career. Very dumb to fight Castillo with the weight issue and very dumb to slug it out with a guy who isn't weight drained.

Suffice to say, Castillo-Cotto is the biggest anticipated event of the year. I've been waiting for someone to finally beat Cotto, and my man Castillo is the one to do it.

Corrales has been damaged too much be Castillo. Corrales has been hurt before, but never has he been hurt and destroyed the way Castillo has done to him. That's the kind of damage that never goes away fully. Castillo will absolutely beat Corrales and then Cotto.

Not to mention, Castillo will have the advantage at 140 lbs vs Cotto. Castillo will have that much more energy at that weight, whereas Cotto will be dry from making it.

Well I agree with you on this point. This is also why I think its best for him to do it right away. If he doesnt face Castillo immediately after Paulie then I think he should move up to 147lbs. Either way I dont think Cotto has more than 2 fights left in him at 140lbs, he looks seriously emaciated at 140lbs, but maybe he can do a Castillo and not make weight and whop Castillo, that would be poetic justice.

Inversely I dont think Castillo has more than 1 more fight left in him at 135lbs if that.

Did anyone else catch what was said concerning the Arce vs Alvarez fight. Alvarez in not making weight gave up 25k dollars, (presumably anywhere between 1/2 to 1/3 of his purse) to Arce. I like this rule, punishes those who dont make weight and rewards those who have to fight a heavier guy than initially contracted for.

Cotto has said this is his last year at Light Welterweight. He cant be left behind, Hattons moving up, Floyd already moved up. By the time Hatton-Mayweather is resovled, Cotto will be ready.

Agreed. Seeing as he's had less than 30 fights he's taken on some big names. Castillo will be his first test at the top level though, and I'm sure he will be knocked out. That chin looked suspect against chop-chop.

Rah not alot of people like Cotto in here. I love the guy! But its about time he got into the ring with an A list Fighter. I think Castillo will knock out corrales and will be in great shape going into the fight with Cotto. I have this bout at 50/50, hopefully Cotto will win and go and fight Hatton and Mayweather!
