    A few days ago, BoxingScene.com reported that a deal was being negotiated for IBF super middleweight champion James DeGale (21-1, 14KOs) to defend his belt against Canadian superstar Lucian Bute (32-2, 25KOs). The fight is reportedly close, but not finalized as of yet.

    The fight was being targeted for November 14th at the Videotron Centre in Quebec. Sources are now indicating that November 28th is appearing to be the more likely date for Bute's return.

                  its a shame ward didn't want to fight degale. nothing new from the guy who turned down bute, stevenson and froch rematch while trying to fight sartison, truax, and zac dunn.

                      Sucks for Barrera.... but he said it was because of something in his past.... so i'd like to know what that is.

                      Main Events will most likely not win the purse bid, then go off about how Bieterbiev is avoiding them when they don't win

                          Stevenson-Haymon
                          Bute- Haymon
                          Froch- Said he'd fight him just not in Nottingham plus Froch chose to drop the title over fighting him.

                          Outside of GGG(has other plans), Kovalev (they're talking) and Abraham( Just why) who can he fight???

                          Problem with Ward is he looks at Floyd ( like Lara and Rigo do too) and think he should make all this money but he's not a draw so he's high risk low reward.

                                      Hmm, I guess it could also be an afternoon card on CBS or NBC. I don't think it's big enough for primetime NBC but it's also too big for NBCSN.
