Junior welterweight contender Mauricio Herrera is backing Lucas Matthysse to come out victorious on October 3rd when he faces undefeated Ukrainian Viktor Postol for the vacant WBC junior welterweight title at StubHub Carson, California.
Mauricio (22-5, 7 KOs) has been on the shelf recovering from severe cuts that were suffered in his most recent bout, against Henry Lundy in July. Herrera has already told his promoter that he wants to face Matthysse if he comes out victorious. Both fighters are handled by Golden Boy Promotions.
