  • Comments Thread For: Merchant Gives His Take on Mayweather IV Scandal

Former HBO fight analyst Larry Merchant gave his take on the controversy that is still lingering as it relates to a drug testing scandal involving Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Mayweather was last in action on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. On that night he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Andre Berto. The fight was billed as Mayweather's final bout as a pro and the boxer announced his retirement following the victory.

All I know is that if one of Floyd's opponents had been caught IVing crap into his system, Floyd would have never shut up about it.

So it's only fair if people want to sound in, and keep doing so.

Don't even need to read it to know exactly what it's going to say. The old **** has become just a miserable parody. It's boring. He's a joke. He's got ****ty notions of boxing for someone that has been in a privileged position and witness to great fighters. For supposed 'experts', most of the HBO team are just a bunch of NSB clowns.

You won't hear them mention a damn thing about any su****ious activity in Pac and his team.

              He is right though,

Either Floyd is doing PED, or he is deceptive about his true weight. He does hide his rehydration weight after all. Floyd is deceptive like that. He even demands certain gloves when he fight punchers. He takes all the risk out of it.

Which is why he'll never be TBE.

Thought I was the only one who realised just how extremely ignorant and biased those clowns at HBO are. Emanuel Steward, Jim Lampy, and Larry Merchant are the cream of then crop.

Stirvirne was hospitalised for two days coz of dehydration after the wilder fight and the reason cited was overtraining in the medical report, unless you actually believe that a heavyweight got dehydrated because of cutting weight, which would be just plain ridiculous.

Anyway, point is, cuttijg weigh ain't the only reason a sportsman can get dehydration, the re is actually a long list of reasons. Is it not feasible that Floyd could have overtrained? Wasn't everyone making fun of him in the build up for overhauling his whole training regiment for pacquiao, chopping wood and doing under water training and ish, **** he never done before or ain't done since his early pro days? Yes, there is no way you could have missed all those articles about that in the buildup, in fact, most of those articles went on bwt how changing regimen at that age could backfire on Floyd, but when it appears to have done exactly that, people jump to the worst case scenario and forget what they said.
