is boxing become less popular in Mexico?

I've noticed boxing ain't as popular as it used to be in Mexico. My little cousins from Mexico don't like boxing at all....boxing is still a popular sport among Mexicans but it is slowly decreasing...I've also noticed boxing is way more popular among Chicanos born in the USA compared to 'real' Mexicans living in Mexico....

The only really popular Boxers in Mexico are Pacquiao,Mayweather,Marquez,Chavez Jr, and Canelo....the rest are almost unknown in Mexico...

BOXING & SOCCER (FOOTBALL) are considered mexico most popular sports but American Sport Leagues like NFL , NBA, MLB are increasingly becoming more popular in Mexico....soccer is still #1 but boxing is slowly falling down while MLB NBA NFL become more popular in Mexico ...

Seems like you hear about fewer guys in Mexico making waves than you used to. Seems like the best guys get signed faster by US promoters due to that strong Mexican fan base in the US & start fighting in the US mostly if not exclusively. Alvarez is almost the face of boxing now & has been the face of Mexican boxing for awhile now & he's not fought in Mexico since 2011. I imagine the best guys getting poached earlier & leaving Mexico behind could effect fans following boxing by itself, but I could see many more factors playing into something like this.

Not good news for boxing if its true, but it does seem like the UK & Russia is picking up more boxing fans so I'm sure it'll even out worse case.

Mexico has very limited gyms compared to USA Mexico is a poor nation compared to the USA a person has to work from a young age to support themselves. A person here does not have to work if the parents are poor they can collect welfare, food stamps and *****care. You see the difference ?

ratings in mexico are still 10 times better than the usa, but you got a valid point, we have less popular fighters today than we had in previous eras, but still very popular, canelos ratings are bigger than barreras, morales, lopez, marquez, etc....
