So do you guys want Ward to stay at 168 or move up and fight Kovalev?

GGG fans are like menstruating women. All emotional and can't seem to make up their minds.

ward is basically the black joe calzaghe.

calzaghe had roy jones jr. in his prime above him and bernard hopkins in his prime below him. yet he stayed at 168 and only fought the two greats when they were in their 40s.

andre ward is basically the same.

has kovalev in his prime with the hopkins win on his resume, has prime duck stevenson, canadian money with pascal, bute, has GGG below him what does ward do?

stay at 168 lbs. despite already clearing out the division with the supersix and despite being in that same division his entire career despite being an amatuer 175lb champion. not only that he beat a 175pounder in dawson which still counts considering 24 hr rehydration.

GGG has the right to stay at 160. Its the right BUSINESS AND BOXING MOVE.

You cant say the same for ward at 168.

                you just cant.

unless you're a repugnant human being.

I don't think that's a good comparison. Roy jones had LHW wrapped up in 1999. Hopkins had MW wrapped up in 2001. While Ward has unified the division and holds more top 10 wins among anyone at SMW, there are actually guys in the division some would like to see him fight. Sam with kovalev at 175 and golovkin at 160. As of today neither of the 160,168,175 divisions are cleaned up the way calzagahe jones and Hopkins did it in their days.

believe it or not, I hope Ward stays at 168 for a few more fights so after GGG cleans out 160 he can move up and smash the Ward myth.

The shrieks heard from Ward's 12 fans as he hits the floor would be music to my ears........

Calzaghe also tried to get Hopkins to come up to 168 to fight him and Hopkins backed out so yeh I see the parallel with Ward/GGG
