Of course there r no thoughts on this , despite how frequently they throw around the coward title , u know those same people would never consider that title for Kov . That title is only reserved for black fighters . And the same ones who ONLY consider that title for Black fighters are the same ones who'll swear up and down that your just a whiny guy playing a race card if u call out some of these obvious things . When Beterbiev backed out of the Kov fight I heard absolutely no one call him scared which is kinda surprising considering he had been calling Kov out for a while . But look what happened when Stevenson went with Haymon after verbally agreeing with HBO that he'd fight Kov , his whole name was changed to Adonis Chickenson . When (Haymon more than likely) told Beterbiev not to take the Kov fight due to the differences in money taking the fight now vs later damn near everyone gave Beterbiev the benefit of the doubt , but not Adonis of course , instead it's that racist black coward stigma they choose to perpetuate while simultaneously always claiming their not racist . Whenever race is mentioned , people like to say your playing the race card when really it's quite contrary . Rather , in very rare instances where racism doesn't exist , that's the actually card , the anomaly/exception card .

That's definitely not true. Beterbiev didn't get as much hate Adonis so no comparison there, but nobody is gave Artur a break.
I was one of the few here saying that I didn't want Beterbiev fighting Kovalev this early and once Beterbiev's team turned it down the decision was not so well received.
Other than me, Kovalev fans don't like Beterbiev, believe me they don't at all. Not even close.

I don't care though, because I know Haymon will treat Artur well.

Boone had already been KO'd at least once before he fought Ward. And Andre didn't give him a beating, that's not Ward's style.

He was decked himself, and badly hurt, but survived and won on points.

Ward does hand out beatings , it's just that his beatings aren't salient beatings like Kov . Had Dawson been able to stay on his feet that whole fight many people , including even myself , may still be unaware how badly Ward f..ks people up , especially on the inside . Wards is a attrition fighter who's efficacy is difficult to recognize . Some r even ****** enough to call him feather fisted . Most with untrained eyes only can see the efficacy in KO artists . Calzaghe also being a superb attrition fighter was the first to break Kessler , but hardly anyone thought he win that fight . KO artist are always given too much credit , whereas the attrition fighter never enough .

I just perused the 4 total pages of both Beterbiev / Barrera threads, one dated today , one yesterday . Out of 4 total pages collectively on these threads there was only one poster (Daggum) who said Beterbiev was scared for backing out of the Kov fight . A couple of other posters complained but blamed it on his management . Now compare that to any 4 pages of any thread about Stevenson and I'm sure you'll find the disparity astounding . U dont even have to use Stevenson , but rather compare it to any 4 pages of a Ward/GGG or a Ward/Kov thread and watch how on the GGG/Ward thread how the narrative will be changed to how Ward is ducking Kov . Just compare and see for yourself !

Ward turned down 2 offers from Bute before he even got injured.

What's even more disgusting about Bute's assertion that he deserved a ward fight was his résumé at the time . Although undefeated , he hadn't fought any of the top names in the division . Instead he thought he was gonna side step all the blood , sweat and tears that the super 6 fighters went through , wait for a winner to emerge and just fight him . Sh.t , u better prove yourself against some of those super 6 tough azz leftovers first .

Beterbiev is not as known as Stevenson, look at Beterbiev threads they barely get to the second page. Remember Beterbiev barely broke into the scene late last year.
I'm not even arguing that he gets more hate than Adonis, but you said Artur gets a pass which is false.
Even when he didn't take the Chilemba fight earlier in the year he got stuff for that. He doesn't anymore because Chilemba also "ducked" him in the summer.
Nobody gave him a pass for "ducking" Kovalev.
Believe me they don't like him, but you don't have to believe me.
I've been keeping up with Artur since 07 so I know a few things.

Sounds like Ward and Roc Nation are willing to make this fight as part of a long term HBO contract.

Kudos to Andre. He wanted to fight Golovkin and then, when Little G started throwing up obstacles, he moved on to talking with Kovalev. That's two of the biggest punchers in the sport.

Beterbiev talked **** and was calling Kovalev out for quite some time... and here we are Kovalev offered him an opportunity in their country!!!
