Comments Thread For: Lucas Matthysse Feels Honored To Have Mexican Support

Hard hitting Argentine Lucas "The Machine" Matthysse (37-3) is looking forward to his October 3rd return to the ring against Viktor "Iceman" Postol (26-0) in a HBO televised main event. At stake will be the vacant WBC super lightweight title.

The fight takes place at the StubHub Center in Southern California. The venue has produced many memorable fights over the years including Mathysse's thrilling 11th round knockout of John Molina Jr. last year.

In my experience, Mexicans don't care much about race (unless its against a Mexican fighter) so long as the fighter is humble and exciting. And lucas fits that description

exactly. I have never seen a Mexican boxing fan every say F this guy or F that guy cause of their race or nationality. I see a bunch of other races do it but never seen a Mexican do it.

Would be a great fight, a fight Marquez can very well win and a fight Lucas can very well win.

That's laughable!! Maybe you're being honest, it's nothing against you specifically. It's just funny hearing this because I've seen plenty of it.

We love boxers that fight with their heart. The boxers that come to beat their opponents not outpoint them.

Being Argentinean is not a race. Mexicans and Argentinians are both Latin Americans ( the real meaning of the word America not meaning from the US ), therefore brothers.
