And Floyd didn't hold anything close to what Wlad does. That is such bull****. I don't know where this narrative came from but it's completely false. He beat better fighters than Wlad or anyone else and did so more impressively.
he beat Bryant Jennings,David haye, Pulev ,Povetkin, Thompson,Chambers, Chagaev,Rahman, Ibragimov, Brewster.

almost all of these guys were ubdefeated, all of them were world champs.
Nobody in the world (except floyd and pac) has better resume than this.

Golovkin fights the same level of competition and obliterates them much more impressively, but no one has him at #1. Kovalev does, too. Pacquiao didn't need to hold 200 times to beat a lesser opponent and knock him down 5 times. Gonzalez beats better competition and looks better.

So what case is there for Wlad? He has a worse resume and worse performances than the other fighters who could be p4p #1.
Ignorant statement. Wlad has fought and beat the no.1 contender 5 times in this current title reign. Golovkin has fought nowhere near that even once in his title run.

The unavenged knockout losses and the fact that he loses to his older brother and Lennox won't allow me to rank Wlad top 20 but his sustained reign of dominance boring or not has been incredible an amazing feat to witness.

He fights safe. Smart. Uses his length. Stays out of range. Jabs. Holds. Doesn't engage like you'd expect a man with such size advantage to do.

He was a little too tentative against Haye.

But just as the case is with Floyd I don't blame Wlad it's up to the opponents to crack the code and figure out a way to defeat him.

Wlad does exactly what he has to do in order to win each fight. Just like Floyd Mayweather.

Wlad fights in a bum division comparable to Ronda Rousey and her division. Who cares. And he is not P4P #1 or anywhere near the top 5. P4P is meant for non-heavyweights. He uses his height to jab and hold. Wow, very special (sarcasm).

              Dr Steelhammer P4P#1!!

Ive been posting this the last few weeks, im not surprised my sentiments are being echoed. You look at the sport and notice the top fighters are NOT facing other top fighters and take into account Vlad has been consistently defending against the best available opponents, Vlad has the best case. I know most would be inclined to put Ward in that slot, i strongly disagree. Main reason would be his inactivity, also if u look at his biggest wins almost all of them are retired or no longer active and there is a new crop of top SMWs Ward has yet to reassert him over. With Floyd out, its not as simple as -move evrrybody up one slot- the boxing scene is an ever changing landscape with fighters losing rating and new ones climbing up. You can apply basic rating criteria to the p4p, based on strength of the wins/opponents. Most "fans" ignore that and are ultimately swayed by media hypejobs.

Its not about being "boring"..consider this, how do you think Vlad has all them titles and keeps em?? By defending against the best available/mandatories, guys that are highly rated. The guys you mention, how many top 10 (entire division) guys have they beat compared to Vlad? Gonzales has a great case bcuz hes done so across 3 weight classes.

Do u know anything abput boxing and ratings?? Or do u just like big muscles?

He does fight the best competition, and he fights in a division where your opponent can knock you out with one punch - and he does it with a glass chin.

Willie Monroe Jr, Geale, Murray etc couldn't knock Golovkin out in a month of Sundays, GGG's mostly going in with zero risk of being hurt.

Floyd ran and held, rarely fought his mandatories and hardly ever knocked anyone out. On top of that he fought almost exclusively in his backyard with NSAC/USADA letting him do God knows what.

I'm not a particular fan of either of them, but I respect Wlad for taking on whoever they put in front of them.

Flpyd was #1 bcuz of the level of comp/rating hes defeated ACROSS 5 weight classes. Thats not debatable. But hes outta the picture. Vlad has been beating that same level of comp in 1 division consistently for over 10 yrs.
