Comments Thread For: Francisco Vargas Vows To End Miura's 'Mexican Streak'

Francisco "Bandido" Vargas is preparing for war as he goes up against Japan's WBC super featherweight champion Takashi Miura, on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

The fight is part of the Miguel Cotto vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez HBO Pay-Per-View undercard.

"Bandido" (22-0-1, 16 KOs) is not worried by the moniker that Miura (29-2-2, 22 KO) has received, as being the slayer of Mexican fighters. Mirua has thoroughly beaten Gamaliel Díaz, Sergio Thompson, Dante Jardón and Edgar Puerta.

Vargas is a beast. If anything I'd like him to increase his punch output and box a little more.

Either way he gets work done and his boxer-puncher style is effective for him and watching him snap his punches is a beauty.

Top guy at Super Featherweight in a few years unless he moves up.

Takashi miura collects another aztec scalp, vargas beat a washed up juanma lopez and had a tough time with abner cotto, the same abner cotto who was knockout by the paper champion javier fortuna. I see takashi winning by KNOCKOUT
