I can't Blame Arum for wanting to get 2 of his guys on HBO instead of 1. TV dates that he controls on HBO are slim these days.

Haymon WAY over inflated the price for fights, so now HBO has to pay more which means less televised fights for them.
    Fair call I suppose !

Screwed In Losses To Bradley & Algieri, And A Pickem With Matthysse

Arum could have made any of those fights. Who did Rios ever beat??? Algieri couldn't give Provo a rematch??? Algieri knocked down how many times to Manny? 6??? Arum just blew that call.

Top Rank = IN FKN HOUSE!! Whats not understood about that? Some of yall are regular posters and should know that trend.

Pac, Marquez, Bradley, Rios, Alvarado. Just mix and match any combo of those names and you have Bobs master plan. Dont forgrt the rematch and trilogy. Add in Vargas and Crawford against each name above and add in a rematch or 2. It wouldnt be Top Rank without a few "controversial" decisions to justify the rematch...dont be fooled by an "outraged" Bob either.

I dont know why anybody expects anything else.

Top Rank are scared to match their fighters against Provodnikov because there is a fair chance he ruins them physically irrespective of the result.

Bradley got brain damage, Alvarado quit on his stool, Rios would almost certainly endure a brutal beating, Pacquiao might well get knocked out, Vargas would get knocked out and the potentially lucrative Crawford hype train could well be ended.

The stakes are just too high for Top Rank. Provodnikov should sign with Al Haymon.

But he's an "exciting" fighter, lol. You still have to WIN, no matter how exciting your fights are. See what happens to these brawlers...short careers, too many loses. They end up brain damaged and broke, but some fans are "entertained"

                    Good post !

How can people ignore the obvious.

Is it still unfashionable to point out that Bob Arum is a dirty greedy lying scumbag simply because he is Mannys promoter, or am I allowed to do that now?

Yea I wondered if that was the case.

Rios is regarded as a top fighter for some reason.

I know that he is fan friendly.

I think that Arum still needs Rios at welter.

Provodnikov was very vocal about that fight, Rios was very vocal about that fight, they both wanted it..... Arum is obviously the holdup.
