I just saw the documentary of Emile Griffith and how Paret died practically in the ring. it was a touching story, its called Ring of Fire.

Was it on any Cox channels or did you rent it? I wanna check it out. That knockout was brutal, Peret was motionless after the 4th hit and Grifith landed about 8 more shots unanswered.

I saw that film recently and yeah it was quite moving. It's sad whats become of Emile Griffith now and the fact that he still wont admit he's gay shows how deep Paret's taunts cut... The blows to the head that Paret took while he was on the ropes were just brutal.

I got it from Blockbuster. i guess Levander Johnson was just another case of what boxing can truly cause. What i do wonder is what J.Chevez feels now. I know the Ruelas brother feel apart after their incident.
