Pay peanuts? Jennings OWN promoter said the money was good and pushed for the fight. The promoter signed off. It was Jennings and his manager who complained about money and told their own promoter no. Not sure but it's in a promoters best interest to look out for his fighters and if he said the money was good I'll take his word for it that the money was right. It's not like Jennings turned this down for some bigger fight. It was almost 2 months ago he said no and still no announcement on his next fight. Just watch Jennings will end up fighting a nobody for a fraction of the money. I don't see any big payday fight for Jennings later this year. And Don King didn't complain about the money either. Both guys could of made more money fighting Ortiz later this year but passed.

If Ortiz had no power and was a easy fight both guys would take the money and the fight. But this would be a 50/50 fight and neither of these guys handlers want to risk back to back losses
