At the time Ortiz had done nothing himself, he was just a hyped prospect.

Chaves is a more proven fighter than Maidana was at the time. Of that, there is little question.

Thanks for pointing out that I said Chaves would be a great opponent to get at short notice

Anyone spectacular means a big name. Chaves isn't spectacular, I haven't changed my view on that. Rios would be a better name but Chaves is a better fighter.

I said right after Brook beat Porter than Porter is a horrible boxer. I've never wavered from that. Brook dealt with him easily, Chaves will be tougher.

        Nothing I've said is contradictory.

Whereas "Khan is ducking Brook and I'm disappointed" is very contrary to the way you have been behaving ever since that very embarrassing summer.

I disagree, Maidana had worked his way up to the mandatory spot whereas Diego Chaves has fallen short in every big fight and has not beaten anyone worth of note. He also defended his title against a guy who was 12-11-3. Not to say he's not a tough opponent but I disagree that he is more proven.

Chaves is more proven, I have to agree with Dirk when he is right...........................a proven loser that is.

A friend of mines just said there's talk on Twitter that Kell is secretly ****sexual and the stabbing incident was due to him trying to have or actually having sexual relations with men. Anybody else ever hear anything like this??? Or is this just rabid Khan diehards trying to shred the mans reputation??? Lmfao

That's because he's fought elite fighters like Thurman and Bradley.

Maidana fell short against Kotelnik who is clearly not at that level.

Nothing wrong with Chaves as an opponent.

It's all about seeing how Brook handles him in comparison to Thurman, Bradley and Rios.

Agree to disagree on this. Maidana imo was far superior in status than Chaves is now. Chino had one loss and a 90% KO ratio and was the lost feared 140lber in the world.
