I think he could have had losses and still have been as successful, because some fans didn't just want Mayweather to lose, they wanted him to get beat down.

To be an undefeated heavyweight is mythical, to be an undefeated welterweight is commendable.
Name someone who went thru 5 divisions undefeated

Actually Manny was more like 3-3 in his last 6 fights when Floyd picked him since he really lost the 3rd JMM fight. When Pac was in his prime in 2010 it was "health comes first" or "he must join tmt".

Last I checked Joe Louis is ranked the #1 Heavyweight of all time by the IBRO and the #1 Greatest puncher of all time by Ring Magazine. And Rocky knocked him out and also knocked out Ezzard Charles who was the 2nd man to beat Louis.

So your FLOWMOLE OPINION is INCONSEQUENTIAL.

So now Pacquiao was prime and hadn't been KTFO6 and coming off of multiple losses when Floyd fought him? So now Oscar was prime and hadn't been KTFO by Hopkins when Floyd fought him?

Prime or not, Rocky's win over Louis, Moore, Charles and Walcott is leagues above anything Fraud Armstrong has done.

Also Rocky wasn't a drug cheat like your hero Fraud IV Armstrong Jr.

This isn't about raw accomplishments, I wish it were, because if that were the case, Floyd would get the credit he deserves. (Eventually...) No, this is about the perceptions of fans and the importance of the heavyweight division. Think about Louis's fights with schmeling and what they did for the collective mental health of the USA and Germany. Again, this isn't to take anything away from Floyd or any other non-heavyweight just pointing to a historical perceptions people have had, and like it or not perceptions are far more important than facts to some.

As numerous legends said recently, Floyd's 49-0 is not a record. It's been beaten by multiple guys and smashed by Chavez sr. The record only counts for heavyweights is what they stated. And before I'm accused of anything, Floyd is one of my favourite fighters.

There's no limit to how big a heavyweight can be, it's the highest weight class and people need to fight guys of all different sizes whereas in those 5 divisions you'd fight guys who are a similar weight.
