I wonder at times what some fans want from the sport and what they perceive it to be? Is boxing hit and not get hit, or is it bleed for your fans and hope you have enough scruples left at the end of your career to have a good life? Did some fans want Floyd to fight someone they think could beat him, like, hmmmmmm say Pacquiao? If Floyd intends to truly "retire" maybe its in his best interests to let this current crop of fighters develop without taking a loss to him, which might net him a few more PPV numbers right now, but would he be risking an even bigger payday down the road? There is a "risk reward ratio" for a guy at his level. Would it be better for Floyd to wax a flunky (Berto), let the current crop of lions battle it out and then finally fight the most lucrative "last man standing?"

Personally I have always found Mayweather very annoying, he is frustrating to support, and he says some pretty dumb shht at times.

But he is a helluva fighter.....

I just cant believe the butthurt, Floyd really does polarise people.

Right now he doesn't need support, he just banked mega-millions in two back-to-back fights and both fights were flat.... he made out like a bandit.

Floyd polarizes people, on whom are lost, the fine arts of showmanship and pageantry. Floyd Mayweather knows how to market himself, and sell a fight. But it doesn't hurt he lives in a country that has a questionable history as it relates to race. America likes it blacks to be very humble, thankful, and especially docile. It isn't a pretty characterization of the facts but Floyd has managed to make himself practically a billionaire off of the legions of people that flock to sites like this with unreasoning hate.
