i wanted to slap merchant so hard. he was bashing zudah and when zap would land a good shot he'd be like oh 3 missed or theyre grazing or its nothing. in round 4 mayweather got caught with some good shots. i wanted zab to win just so merchant would look like a fool talking to him in the ring. i want merchant fired.

I'm not a big Merchant fan but he does say some **** that will make you smile and scratch your head at the same time. Zab got dominated.

theres no doubt about it that Floyd dominated after the 4 or 5th round. But when Zab was winning the fight Larry MerchANT always had an excuse to bash Zab.

Without Larry Merchant HBO will suck, most of the times Merchant says some ****** things, but I do enjoy listing to him, maybe I'm used to his voice or something, he's by far the best guy on HBO or Showtime.

Wrong, just watch some Gatti or Wlad fights from the past, then you will see how biased Lamply can be. I think in Hopkins fights he was neutral, he was biased towards both Hopkins & Taylor.

Before the fight it "flawless vs. jawless" and after the fight Merchant was still unwilling to give zab any props even though he did give Mayweather a tough test in the early rounds. Granted Mayweather completely dominated later on but he still struggled early and was forced to adapt and find a way to deal with Zab. Once he did though it was all over and Zabs character flaws came into play.

I think the fact that Larry Merchant gave Zab no credit after the fight was not because he was unwilling to praise Zab but more because he didnt want to be wrong...and he was slating Zab pretty bad before the fight.
