How? Who? Ronda Rousey... Get the hell out of here! Rousey has become as side show, much like Lesnar. Rousey is a talent but is looking to retire quite soon.

Boxing will always, always out shine UFC. Although an entertaining sport (25-50% of the time), it has become a sideshow attraction much like WWE. Boxing is a global sport, while the UFC has struggled to maintain a constant fan base outside of the U.S. And Brazil.

Just because Mayweather has left and fought a much lesser opposition in his last fight than many would wish... But fact remains that boxing always continues to thrive. UFC continues to find ways to compete and argue their greatness while boxing continues to stay quite an make $. The closest UFC has come to compete with the great stars of boxing was damn near 10 years ago. Since they have stayed at about the same, outside of their sideshow attractions (Lesnar, Kimbo, Rousey).

This is far from a fact... Morons who claim Boxing is dieing doesn't know sh** about boxing; The history or the current state of the sport. Tired of arrogant MMA fans

No question the UFC is on the rise. I'd also throw Weidman in with Ronda & Conor. I think he's the only one between them that actually headlined a 1M+ buy PPV event (although Ronda was co-main). If Jon Jones gets his **** together & comes back they got a rather young, talented & impressive top 4 draws.

Idk about "officially" anything changing quite yet. Although I contend the UFC could already arguably be considered bigger than boxing its just about how we go about measuring them against each other. One thing that has disturbed me as a boxing fan 1st & a MMA fan 2nd is that there are more mainstream sports websites that have a linked MMA page than a linked boxing page. I think that says a lot even if you can debate all sorts of PPV numbers, ratings, magazines & magazine sales & all sorts of other ****.

Good stats to see spelled out. I feel these numbers when I talk combat sports to different people. Younger people can name way more MMA guys than boxers & thats the future & for advertisers what matters most thats where the money will be going more in the future also.

Man I love boxing. It's my favorite sport. I barely watch mma. Take emotion out of it and look at the numbers.

It is over for boxing. It's done.

Its not about keeping their popularity up its called marketing or just straight hustling tbqh. If Tim Bradley was smart he'd start talking **** about Conor cuz Conor sells more PPV than he does lately. Its a smart move to throw your name out there in comparisons with other more popular people &/or things cuz people who don't know you will end up knowing about you. Getting attention is what its about & the broader an audience you can get knowing about you the more PPV's you are gonna sell. Manny should be throwing out Trump's name right now as he's on fire in the media & Manny might get back to 1M PPV buy form off a Trump bump.

If you go by what the best fighters actually get paid then boxing is bigger and it's not even close. Canelo will probably make more money for just one fight with Cotto than Ronda will make in many years. I don't know how much she gets paid for each fight but I'm pretty sure it's peanuts compared to what Canelo makes and mouse droppings compared to what Mayweather makes per fight.

One thing I do know is mma mega events never come close to Boxing mega events. Numbers don't lie. TBH a lot of these ufc numbers are also probably estimates and probably higher than what the real number is. Boxing numbers are put out by the network which is a publicly traded company so there numbers are accurate.

Mayweather vs Marquez vs UFC 103

Floyd Mayweather's PPV buys started a war of words between rival promoters.
