Comments Thread For: Hearn Says Quigg's Priority is Frampton, Then Donaire

The owner of Matchroom Sport, Barry Hearn says WBA 'regular' super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg wants to fight IBF champion Carl Frampton, also of Britain, before he faces five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum had announced plans for a Donaire-Quigg fight on November 21 in Manchester and Donaire himself said he had told Arum he wasn’t too concerned about the purse “just get me the fight.” [Click Here To Read More]

Saw an interview with Hearn last night where he said he has something big in the works for Quigg but can't reveal it yet.

If its anything less than Frampton or Donaire, he's going to look like a proper mug.

Hearn had zero intention of ever making a fight with Donaire. He never anticipated that Donaire would actually even be interested. He basically got his bluff called & has now backed off like gutless spunk bubble he is.

Hopefully both Frampton & Quigg get knocked out next.

A fight no one asked for nor wants to see.

          Donaire would have been brilliant.

Knew it was to good to be true.

haymon should try to secure options on quigg during the negotiations and force him to face frampton afterwards if he wins

Disappointing, Hearn has this pathetic tactic he employs, chasing the golden goose, hes doing the same thing with brook, chasing khan everything else be damned, with quigg its frampton. So while they tirelessly work on securing these pie in the sky fights, in the meantime its tomato can after tomato can. Donaire wanted the fight and cheap eddie and quigg the squid went running for the hills.

They probably have no intention on matching quigg with either, most likely a tomato can n let the hype continue.

Would have preferred Donaire but McDonnell isn't too bad a fight better than a can certainly is McDonnell not popular or highly regarded in Britain

i think framptons lost his heart, he would probably lose, he's not hungry anymore, somthing changed in him lol i wouldnt back him to win even against santa cruz or mares he's done stick a fork in him. I think he should ditch mcguigan get a better deal for himself like groves did with booth.
