    Why are you ignoring facts?
and who in their right mind would accept financial terms right now for a fight that is at LEAST 12-18 months away, at the earliest?

Remember, the offer conveniently came AFTER GGG-Lemieux was announced, and then GGG likely has Cotto-Canelo winner next, and then Lee to unify. So on what planet would anyone accept a 50-50 split not knowing the actual economics of a fight that is a year and a half away?

makes no sense, and Loeffler would have been an idiot to accept.....

    • Wow! Over 200 posts mainly from Ward fans trying to justify why their hero is trying to fight a much smaller man. I would be embarrassed to be a fan of a fighter who is afraid to fight a quality opponent in his own division. But these same people dumped all over GGG for daring to challenge Mayweather at 154 and be willing to actually drop DOWN in weight to fight him in his own division.

time for Ward to fight a quality fighter his own size for a change. No catchweights, no bums like Paul Smith. I will even give him a bit of a pass and let him take on Martin Murray, someone Golovkin already beat. But unfortunately for Ward, he would have to leave the US to do that so we know that that idea is a non starter.

Whatever way you look at it, it is time for Ward to get on with his career and stop waiting for a middleweight to move up and fight him.

      • Ward couldn't sell 50k on PPV

But K2 better not do this to us This is a fight that needs to happen by 2017.

Golovkin's current situation technically is filled up until mid-2016 and the success of GGG's PPV could change his landscape.

What does K2 have to do with it? How about Ward get up off his ass and back in the ring against quality opponents to build his name back up? How about Ward challenges the other title holders at SMW and tries to unify those titles while GGG unifies MW? Why doesn't Ward do something to deserve the fight instead of depending on wins from FOUR YEARS AGO?

People love to blame K2 and GGG, but what has Ward done to deserve this fight? NOT A DAMN THING.

          • Ward a year or two ago said he wanted to have this fight build up but he hasn't done **** on his end the last 2-3 years while GGG has been fighting on HBO 9 times since 2013.

            • GGG about to headline in his first PPV, while Ward is fighting on the undercard of his first. You tell me who deserves what.

              • what ward managed to do is shatter that boogeyman image they were building around golovkin.. that sht is no more. before all this, they were screaming for anyone from 154-168, now they're very comfortable staying at 160 lol.. when golovkin's people turned down hopkins and said they'll consider it "in the future" that showed me everything about the little g fraud. .but for some reason when little g does it, its not called "ducking", why is that. these golovstains are hiding their boy behind kovalev, its pathetic. boogeyman don't need no body guard

                • Boozing sites Mention GGG, why, because he is Popular ******

                  Boxing Sites, lol!

It's fun watching the haters try there hardest to stop the GGG train. Boxing sites mention his name for hits, when GGG is mentioned the comment board blows up.

Ring magazine poll says it all.

GGG has major cross over appeal. He is on precipice of superstardom, and Ward fans can't stand it.

Well tell you fighter to actual fight, stop hugging, holding, clinching, his way to wins, mapybe someone will want to see him fight.

The more he badgers and begs GGG, a small MW, for a fight, the more Ward looks foolish and the more negative press he brings his way.

We get it, Ward is bigger, stronger, longer than GGG. 30 days out for his next MW bout, GGG weighs about what a JRMW would.

Ward walks around at 180, fights rehydrates to around 185-190.

He'd have 20 pounds on GGG.

He would have a good **** at using that strength to hold GGG all night. But that's not impressive, he's smaller.

GGG will move up, and if Ward will meet at SMW, it could happen.

My guess, Ward will then want it at LHW.

And no way Ward gets 50% purse. He doesn't warrant 30%.

Really, because GGG is growing in popularity, while Ward is begging him for a fight.

Ward hasn't done anything, but look like a raging fool. Son of God! And he wonders why no one likes him.

The post I was responded to implied that GGG's team had made an offer when all they've done is talked **** to the media for years.

It also implied that Ward hadn't done anything to make the fight happen when he's the only one who has made an official offer.
