how is that a fact? he just fought on bet and only 300k saw him. doesn't sound like a household name to me. are you still trapped in the past? lots of fighters were popular in the past and are no longer popular.

so if ggg doesn't do a lot of ppv buys he's a failure yet when ward doesn't get any viewers on free tv he's still a marquee name? makes no sense.

i think that if ggg fought on bet a lot wouldnt see him either..it is not a fight channel..ward had the option to be on hbo be he refused to not get his minimum...he would have did well over 1 million views like he always does...u have to be rational tho he's a p4p fighter for years now...ggg is a increasing p4p star this fight does 400k or more...this is not canelo lara..lara was the real unknown...and canelo would beaten by floyd and kinda given up on a tad...

He's right since he says IF the Lemieux ppv is a big financial success, it would show that Golovkin is the big name in this hypothetical fight. However IF it isn't a success and the PPV numbers are terrible, then that would have it swing in Andre's favor and he would be the one to get the majority of the split or at least 50/50. Doesn't matter though now, no point looking into the future when the Lemieux figh hasn't even happened yet, and then of course they gotta figure out the whole Canelo/Cotto/WBC mandatory situation.

so Ward shouldnt have to "fluctuate weight" by a measly 3 pounds, but GGG should have to move up 8 pounds for Ward, then back down 8-11 pounds for Cotto-Canelo winner?

stay at middleweight and await cotto canelo winner.

get that win vs either guy THEN GO TO THE NEGOTIATING TABLE vs ward.

right now, ward vs GGG is a 50-50 fight.

ward has the legacy and name while GGG has the fanbase exciting ko style attraction.

if he waits for canelo vs cotto winner, HE CAN RIGHTFULLY ASK FOR 60/40 vs ward or any fighter with a canelo or cotto in his resume.

i agree finally...he shouldnt go to 168 right now..bc cotto is going to suck him down to 155...that is too much a of a burden..but that is wat they need to tell the media instead of looking like they are getting ****d and making us figure it out ourselves
