  • Manny Pacquiao hasn't had an opponent apply steady pressure since Margarito

Its weird. Shane Mosley who is known for his speed pressure and willingness to mix it up ran all night, Even Brandon Rios was cautious and tried to counter punch or box with him. I expected him to bum rush Manny.

Algieri was turning and going off the back foot all night and scared to commit to any punches, Bradley tried to mix it up in the rematch but was trying to land a hail mary and give him some slick looks to counter him.

Why won't guys pressure Pacquiao anymore? I remember Josh Clottey said when asked why didn't you open up against Pacquiao and he said do you want him to kill me? he made me laugh with that comment.

Floyd is lucky almost all his opponents pressure him and give him a tailormade style, Pacquiao is smaller than Floyd and they still wont pressure him.

do you think if Pacs opponents try to brawl with him and impose their will like Hatton, Cotto and Margarito we will see the old Manny back? What opponent is willing to show balls and pressure Pac like that again?

I think Shawn Porter and Maidana would do it.

The only fighter I see knocking Pacquiao out cold is Lucas Mattysse he will out slug Pacquiao in an exchange and his chin is iron while Pac has a chinese chin.

I'd love to see him fight Maidana. If he was to struggle hard against Marcos, it's time to retire.

I think the fighters answered your question. Pacquiao is still very fast and dangerous and being reckless in the ring with him is not a good idea.

Coming forward against manny will get you seriously hurt.

Even Floyd said manny is at his best when he's moving backwards.

I said Floyd either has really weak punching power because the threw that shot with all his weight and still didnt wobble Pacquiao or Pacs chin is better than I thought.

Its either Floyds punch is really weak or Pac has a decent chin.

Its crazy how before the way to beat Manny was to make him back up, Now Pacquiao knows how to fight off the back foot well.

He adapted after his first loss to Morales, after that fight he learned to fight off the back foot. The best bet is to catch Pac lunging in with a hard shot like Marquez.

Its kinda lame though that nobody is willing to mix it up since Margarito. I know Shane got scared when he saw Margaritos eye, it made him nervous going into the fight.

Plus Shane made people paranoid when he said Pacquiao hit him the hardest he ever been hit be it sparring or in a fight.

                Why do you think?

The media has people brain washed about Manny's punch. The media also had people believing Manny was on PEDS. If you come forward against Manny, he WILL hurt you. What people have to realize, is that Manny is a Lightweight making Welterweights afraid to exchange with him. Hmmm. Now, why do you think that is? At 140lbs, Manny would be a P4P puncher. I doubt anyone goes 12 with him right now at 140lbs. He punches too hard. If you watch any of his fights with the surround sound on, you can literally feel his punches thud off his opponent's. No kidding. Only really big opponent's and crazy chinned fighters can take his punch for 12 rounds. Floyd fans said after he got embarrassed against Maidana in the first fight, "Why don't Manny fight Maidana? I bet you Manny would get KO'ed". I laughed HARD at that notion. Manny would beat Maidana up and possibly stop him. It would resemble the Cheeto fight. The Rios fight. At times, the Bradley fight as well. Why do you think Floyd ran all night even though he, like many other fighters, were much bigger? It's common sense. He's a natural puncher for his size.

It's too bad Manny hasn't learned to cut the ring off better.

What does that have to do with the question of the thread? And he's an ATG, of course he knows how to cut the ring off. How does he hit moving opponent's then, smart guy?
