Boxing is a game of attrition , therefore it goes without saying that all fights add wear and tear , but fighters like GGG , Kovalev , a younger Hopkins , Pascal , Lemeuix offer a much higher level of attrition than the average fighter like a Charlo .Comment

I'm using Rosado as my gauge for this fight since he's a tough fighter (though not a closer) . they both fought Rosado , although I don't think GGG would have stopped him had it not been for cuts . On the other hand , Lemieux brutalized Rosado from start to finish knocking him down 4 times if my memory serves me correctly . Lemieux gives GGG more than he's bargained for but not necessarily a loss.
The only way to know is to have two guys (or teams) at the peak of their powers go up against each other.Comment

This is the last guy who couldn't shut up before he fought GGG. Golovkin did not want to KO him, but wanted to punish him. He won't punish Lemieux, he will just KTFO him. But I wonder if he will have a similar look on his face the first time he lands on his back?

He had the flu, actually, and had been in bed for a week before the fight. Any other fighter would have cancelled. Golovkin did a slice and dice on his face instead.

Common opponents, like triangulation, is never an accurate way to measure anything in sports. Lots of styles and variables to consider that can make two contests look wildly different.
