  • Comments Thread For: Rousey on Mayweather PPV Numbers: 'Fans Aren't Dumb'

UFC champion Ronda Rousey says Floyd Mayweather Jr. is getting what he deserves -- fans turning their backs on him in droves because his last fight, with Andre Berto on September 12th, was a mismatch.

Ronda weighed in on the Berto-Mayweather fight drawing only about 550,000 pay-per-view customers -- the lowest number Floyd's pulled in 10 years. The way Ronda sees it ... her archnemesis should've seen this coming.

Is there any possibility they both fight each other?

      She still talking and complaining

How much longer is Rhonda going to keep talking about Floyd, she said what she wanted to about him in a interview and at the espy's so what else do you want. Your never going to fight Floyd and the man said congrats to you. So how much are you going to keep holding animosity against him, unless Miesha Tate is right that you are ducking her and Cyborg. And using Floyd's name for fame like others do trying to down grade him, and promote themselves. Other fighters do that when want good ratings. Fight your own and fight with the girls and stay in you own league. Don't forget that Floyd has better PPV numbers than you Rhonda.

Ronda does not need Floyd to boost her popularity. her last PPV hit over 1 million buys on her name alone as she was the only main event and it was in Brazil to boot. Her next PPV will also surpass 1 million buys and will probably set records for attendance in Australia. And that card will he headlined by TWO women's matches.

Did anyone ever consider that UFC would be a bigger draw, both live and on PPV than boxing? And how would people have freaked out if they had been told that not only would UFC overshadow boxing but that they would do it with FEMALE fighting stars?

Let's see Al Hayman top that!

                Ass whooping

What she needs to do is step in the ring with cyborg. And stop ducking her. She has 13 fights against sub-par performers and everybody treats her like she has been doing this for years. When you do it for 19yrs than you can talk *****.

Her last PPV did 900,000... Still very impressive, and she is clearly the most popular female athlete other than Serena, but it's not quite a milestone.

The only way she's getting past 1M is if she gains the courage to fight Cyborg.

Also, karma has a funny way of coming back. Because let me tell you the fans are going to start getting fed up watching her fight these mismatches against former accountants that last 30 seconds long. You look at her list of potential opponents and it's very thin.
