Newly installed pound for pound No. 1, undefeated Nicaraguan World Boxing Council flyweight champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez looks to be in great shape, according to the WBC following the boxer's required weigh-in 30 days prior to his much anticipated clash with Brian Viloria, the two division world champion.

Out of the ring he doesn't look like most people's idea of what a #1 PforP should look like - in the ring it's different.

        123.6 ? Rigondeaux makes 122 . I would like to see this fight : rigo - roman . Maybe at 118 , to be fair .
But this the 2 time I see roman over 122 , he and rigo could mix it up one day .

Hit and not be hit ; can not hit what you don't see .

Roman has rehydrated to 127 before, although he says he felt sluggish. Personally I think he caps off at 115, 118 would be a stretch. I just don't see him competing at an elite level beyond that.

Rigo is one inch taller than him and has a 4 inch reach advantage, I just don't see how Roman could move up to 122 and remain competitive. His style doesnt lend itself to do so, unlike Rigo's. Roman walks his opponents down, Rigo pot shots and coasts through the fight unless a KO comes.

Roman has some serious fights at 112 before I want to see him move up: Viloria, Estrada II (and that might finally happen early next year), and I'd like to see Nietes. Ruenroeng to clean out the class, though if I don't see Amnat I won't sweat it. That Casimero fight turned me off. IF he keeps winning (and he's got a little minefield at 112), I could see him and the Yamanaka-Moreno winner being a serious possibility by 2017. Any higher than that and his height is going to be an issue. He might walk around in the 120s. The guys who fight there walk around in the 130s and 40s.
