  • Comments Thread For: Audley: David Haye Could Be The One To Derail Joshua

One fighter who could stop Anthony Joshua’s march to the top is David Haye, a former opponent, rival and long-term comrade, who I’m proud to say is a friend once more.

We haven’t seen David in a ring since July 2012, when he dismantled Derek Chisora by TKO in their highly anticipated grudge match, following a mass brawl at a press conference in Munich to announce Klitschko vs Chisora.

Audley Harrison & David Haye are an utter embarrassment to British boxing. Both these jokers nearly destroyed boxing on Sky TV due to their farce of a fight.

For the record, Joshua would take Haye's head off his shoulders.

I despise Haye as much as the next guy but that would be a very difficult fight for Joshua. Even his hype man in Hearn expressed the same view.

David Haye would make Joshua look like a stiff idiot like he THOUGHT he would do to Wladimir.

It's too early in Joshuas career for him to take on an opponent as advanced as Haye.

Yes, little toe, etc etc but Haye is extremely dangerous and it only takes one mistake.

British boxing is an embarrassment to sport and the world, man. Kell Brook's career, the Haye-Chisora Haye-Klitschko Haye Fraudley fiasco's, Fraudley's jaw, David price's jaw and the ref in Kovalev vs Cleverly are all examples of how the world's most disgraceful and corrupt sport operates in a boxing backwater like the UK lol

And i'm from there, (also Carl Frampton's neck tattoo)

Haye didn't give us the Fury fight, but I would love Haye to fight Josh. All Haye has to do is not get hit like all of Joshs other oppoents couldn't do.

Nice troll post, you won't get any bites from me though.

Back on topic, Haye has achieved nothing at HW, and i have no doubt that Joshua would walk through this version of Haye and brutally KO him.

Joshua is definitely capable of doing that. But Haye could give him problems, imo. Depends if his toe held up or not.

But seriously, forget Haye, Audley should come back one more time and fight Joshua himself.

If AJ can knock Audley TFO quicker than Price and Wilder did, then we know he's the real deal.

I'll believe it when I see it as far as Haye coming back.

A prime Haye poses Joshua a significant test, however if he does ever climb back in the ring I doubt he'll be the fighter he once was.

Wouldn't entirely count him out though, Haye's packing 1 punch KO power that Joshua hasn't faced yet.
