Comments Thread For: Arum: Canelo Will Beat Cotto, But Could Go Either Way

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is picking Mexico's Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to defeat Miguel Cotto for the WBC middleweight championship on November 21st at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Arum had promoted Cotto for nearly his entire career, until their contract expired in December of 2011. They began doing business again in 2013 on a fight by fight basis until Cotto signed a lucrative deal with Roc Nation Sports at the start of this year.

cotto has as much of a chance beating canelo as that fat slob bryan perez being named people magazine's slimmest most beautiful person of the year (its hotter than the regular people magazine's most beautiful person of the year that's why cotto will never beat canelo) award.

I just hope people give Cotto credit for beating Canelo when he does. Don't wanna hear nothing. It's gonna be a good fight, let's just enjoy the war!

Shut your mouth Arum no one wants to hear your prediction. Cotto will beat that kid but he will not be recognized as the best but the luckier.

Canelo will win but that won't make him anything. All this tripe about how Canelo will be a PPV star is rubbish. He will continue in the 500 0000 range. After Pacquiao is gone boxing will struggle for some time.

If Canelo come in hurt , and doesn't report his injuries like Martinez did ,Cotto have a big chance

It's not really a solid pick by Arum. He just thinks it's better for Canelo to win because he is still young and fresh. I still got Cotto giving Canelo a boxing lesson and stopping him around the 9th round.
