-Team Beterbiev simply said that they'll take the Kovalev fight when they became mandatory challenger (Duva offering $500k plus only 25% of the Canadian money, fully understanding that HBO is going to cut a decent check for the US TV rights, her Russian backers are going to allegedly put up a sizable site fee to have two Russians fighting for a world championship in Russia, and having just split $6m [largely from Canadian money] for the Pascal fight, was a bull**** move that she deserved to immediately get called on); with the mandatory position locked in (and the backing for the bid to go his way, were things to come to that), Duva has a choice to make. 25% of HBO money/Russia site money/Canadian PPV money to Beterbiev or Kovalev gets compelled to tuck tail and run from another fight over Duva crying about business.
-Adonis Stevenson hits anyone at 175 on the jaw and he puts them out 8 out of 10 times, though at least dropping them. Whether Kovalev, with his shorter reach and stiffer style, can prevent himself from getting one-punched is on him.
-Only reason why folks like you are now talking up Andre Ward "being terrified of the LHW division" is because you see the predicament that Kovalev is in, and you want to put blame on someone not in Team Kovalev.
Team Kovalev isn't going to take the Stevenson fight, Team Kovalev will likely vacated the IBF belt instead of fighting Beterbiev (after he wrecks Barrera), and Kovalev is a Chilemba defeat (who faces Eleider Alvarez) away from a rematch with Jean Pascal (who he already knocked out) being the only fight available to him against a LHW ranked in the top 20 in the world.
Kovalev is literally on the cusp of spending the next 2-3 years of his career can crushing, and it's got you flumoxed. lolComment

Last time I checked it was Beterbiev who pulled out, Adonis Chickenson doesn't stand a chance. It's clear Ward is terrified of the LHW division
