Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder Wants Knockout No. 34 Against Duhaupas

The only fight in Deontay Wilder’s career that didn’t end with him scoring a knockout victory was when he outpointed Bermane Stiverne earlier this year to win a heavyweight title. There were 32 KOs in 32 wins before then, and there was one KO in his one fight since then, a June win over Eric Molina.

Wilder is hoping to keep this new streak going with his Sept. 26 fight against Johann Duhaupas, which main events a “Premier Boxing Champions” broadcast on NBC.

              just watched charr vs duhaupas

nothing special there.. charr is a destroyed fighter with no aggression left and duhuapas spent most of the fight just bopping him with a hesitant jab and getting countered throughout

very deliberate, basic fighter without much power or speed, just big

the plan for wilder has gotta be waiting to see what happens with fury joshua teper etc while being the "US champion" then getting a big payday against either a retiring wlad or wlad's successor, likely losing badly but making a lot of cash

I'll be very impressed if Deontay can stop thi guy, he's a big, rough durable customer who gives everyone a hard night, Teper and Charr had all they can handle so if Wilder can get this guy out of there it's a statement.
