Golovkin vs Chavez Jr at 170lb

Imagine this fight at the dallas Cowboys stadium on cinco de mayo a fight with no belts on the line just a fight of pride at 170lb catchweight .....who would win GGG or Chavez Jr ....imo Chavez jr is just to big & strong for GGG....Chavez Jr also has a superior chin...Chavez Jr by 11 Rd KO IMO

This fight would have interest if it was before the Fonfara fight but now it's lost its luster. Chavez Jr didn't look good in his last fight. The only thing that made the fight interesting was to see if GGG can be the first to KO Chavez, now Fonfara beat him to the punch the fight is pointless. No belts on the line. Let Chavez fight his way back to relevance then maybe it can be an interesting bout again.

Chavez is just not very good. He hits hard and has a good chin. He is also very slow and very easy to hit and averages throwing about 25 punches a round. GGG would beat the hell out of him and knock him out if Chavez weighed in at 170 or 180 or 200 pounds. GGG is just way too good for him. GGG has never been hurt or knocked down so even a lucky punch won't save Chavez.

YDKSAB. There is no way that GGG will move to 170 for anyone. If he was to fight Stoolio, it would be at 168 and it would currently be impossible as Stoolio is signed to Haymon and cannot fight on HBO. Stoolio ran away once and he will never again get another offer to fight Golovkin. He had his chance and he turned tail and ran.

The only thing Chavez could beat Golovkin at would be a taco eating contest.

The only reason this fight was remotely interesting before was to see if Golovkin could knock Chavez out. Now that Chavez was stopped by Fonfara there is no point.

Brilliant move by the way, signing with Al Haymon instead of signing a one fight extension with Top Rank and fighting Golovkin. He would have made lot of money, win or lose against Golovkin. Now, just like that, he's considered a bum and no one cares about him, all for a whole lot less money.

if chavez was in shape and fought like a high workrate, pressure fighter, he could've been good at 160 with his chin, size.

            like a MW Margarito.

            but he wasted his opportunities.
