Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley Says Teddy Atlas Will Eliminate 'Mortal Sins'

As he embarks on his journey to face Brandon Rios on November 7th at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Tim Bradley will be doing so with a new trainer - Teddy Atlas, best known nowadays for being the color commentator for ESPN.

Atlas is a no-nonsense disciplinarian, which is just fine with 'the Desert Storm' who recently broke off his decade-long union with trainer Joel Diaz.

I don't understand why he needs a change of trainer to get out of his bad habits. Joel Diaz was constantly screaming at him in the corner, in many fights, to "stay smart" and "not get fuckin' ******". Sounded like he was doing his job.

If there's any mortal sins to be made, it's Bradley's own doing and not that of his trainer. He himself is the one responsible for getting into these slugfests - why would hearing a different voice, namely Atlas, change that bad habit?

Yes because changing trainers will magically help YOU change YOUR bad habits which you are FULLY aware of...and Joel Diaz made you FULLY aware of AND SCREAMS from the corner at you.

What's Teddy going to do? Slap you and give you some ridiculous motivational hubbla jubbla.

This is why Floyd is so good...he didn't even need a trainer after he hit 30 years old. He knew the game and he has the mental capacity to work it all out for himself...

He is fighting Brandon Rios a guy with some of the worst technical skill I've ever seen and literally cannot fight from the outside. Bradley is what - 32 years old? He has MAYBE 2 years left in him at most at 147...it doesn't get better for him from here onwards. Arum can keep him comfy with the small list of opponents available.

Bradley suffers from late fight fatigue which leads to mental lapses. It's going to be hard to do anything about it.Fortunately even if he loses focus against Rios there ain't sht Rios will be able to do to take advantage of it.

Teddy Atlas vastly overrated as a trainer more hype

Teddy talks boxing well but actually Teddy has done little in ever developing a true fighter. Teddy is a boxing expert and a great fight announcer but sure as hell ain't no fricking Miracle worker in the corner. Way overrated is big mouth self promoting braggart Teddy BS mostly all crap little rap.

Teddy Atlas is the worst trainer in boxing. He will ruin Bradley the way he ruined Michael Grant and Alexander Povetkin. Povetkin looked terrible with Atlas and great now without him!

Really tim? you need atlas to tell you that? Diaz was doing a good job but you insisted on being dumb and reckless. Ima start rooting for rios if he keeps up with these borderline ******ed comments

Teddy almost killed Mike Tyson with a pistol head shot

Teddy had a gun to Mike Tyson's head years ago and claim close to pulling the trigger till the gun was taken away from Teddy. Teddy got fired from Cus's fight camp and Tyson got to live and terrorize others. Tyson attacked teddy's sister in the Catskills. Fact

Tyson was reportedly quoted as saying he grabbed a female relative of Atlas's wife on her buttocks (ass to you & me). Not quite an "attack", but certainly inappropriate. Teddy was a hot head and reportedly pulled the trigger on a .38, missing intentionally to send Tyson a message. Mike has recently (in 2013) made amends to Teddy over the incident.
