What would May vs Pac have been worth 5 years ago?

Mayweather made roughly 200 million and Pac roughly 100 million for their fight. (Which is mind boggling)

The general consensus is that this fight ****** and 5 years ago it would have been better.


But what do you think the fighters would have made?


I'd say 35 million for Mayweather 25 mil for Pac.

Plus you have to factor in back then Oscar would had got a nice cut since Floyd was using golden boy .

Another reason Oscar is salty.

Floyd making the fight while under his own company is what helped him make all that money he did.

They would have gotten much less. But manny feared blood tests, and Floyd would have wanted to dictate too many terms, as the "A" side.

More action, but Floyd was also better back then too, not just manny.

2009 the country was coming off a recession and nobody would've been willing to pay 100 dollars for a fight, plus they got much more exposure by fighting other big names and by the back and forth talk for many years and that made the fight much bigger.

If there was a Script the 2 sides agreed on Floyd followed it and kept winning, Pacquiao on the other hand got KOed and needed 2-3 years to recover and to get back to where he was.

Plus I thought Floyd waited till Pacquiao's contract with Arum ran out and wanted to either sign him to Mayweather promotions or GBP so that Arum doesn't get anything from the fight and they get the bigger piece but Pacquiao extended with Arum in 2012 and again in 2014. So that delayed everything too, Fight would've been made in Sept. 2013 if everything went according to plan.

Agreed. It was a monster fight even back then. A lot of people would have turned out for that.
