Why is everyone so high on Keith Thurman?

Seems like Thurman is the most, if not one of the most hyped fighters. IMO he hasn't fought anyone note worthy besides Guerrero and he still couldn't KO him. Once he steps up in competition he will get beat.

Fighters I'm sure that beat him.

    Shawn Porter
    Danny Garcia
    Maidana
    Matthysse
    Pacquiao
    Brook

Look what Karass did to him, skip to 1:25

I don't think Garcia, Maidana or Matthysse would beat him. But Porter, Brook, Bradley and Pacquiao most likely would.

You gotta understand what being desperate is.
When most of your "P4P future greats" end up looking like Broner at best, you'll take what you can get.

          you got a point

he doesnt throw combinations, loads up on punches, doesnt like fighting backwards

when he comes up against a guy with a chin and activity at elite level, he will have a close fight

Hes not as good as people thought he was I'll give you that.

Still reckon he is on the top tier of post Floyd WW's though he desperately needs to prove it in the ring

Because he's unbeaten and he talks a lot. Just the flavour in at the moment.

A washed up Collazo who HE called "over the hill" after Khan beat him; walked him down and hurt him bad with a liver shot, doesn't bode for him too well vs Matthysse or Chino.

Thurman is clearly a quality fighter. No point in denying that.

Is he the future savior of the WW division and will go unbeaten for his whole career? Probably not.

                  But he's still really good.

Everyone isn't high on Thurman. He's my fave guy to watch atm because He's one of those guys I don't have to defend. But Thurman can fight going forward or moving. He's had a bad year, imo. His fights left me wanting. I will say this however, he's one of the few welterweights anyone with a brain would have preferred to see over Berto last Saturday.
