According to Fairfax Media, 28-year-old Davey Browne, a father of two, has died in the hospital after he collapsed during a bout in Sydney's southwest last week. He was knocked out in the final round of his super featherweight title fight at Ingleburn RSL just before midnight on the evening of September 11.

Witnesses said he struggled to breathe and suffered seizures after being felled during the contest with fighter Carlo Magali.

His horrified family watched on as paramedics worked to stabilize him before he was rushed to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
