I think Pacquiao gave him the most trouble with sneaking into range where Floyd had trouble reading his movements. Not a lot of great light feet guys fought Floyd. Oscar and Shane prime would be very very interesting, Floyd was making a name for himself at lightweight at the time though. Judah isnt that elusive when he starts getting worked over. Lara is great and all but having that much length could play against him if Floyd shells up and fights inside

Maidana did and I thought canelo would

Just look @ Lara and how he's longer and just as elusive therefore would make Floyd have to come after him and take more risk in order to win the fight?
I would say Judah have the most sustained success with that, although watching Mayweather go into stalker mode and walk him down from round 5 on was a thing of beauty.

Also, Cotto had surprising success in small bursts when he did it too, especially when he was pumping and landing his jab.

He wouldnt want to of course. But Floyd would operate inside of his reach effectively where Lara would keep having to back up and reset

I think his greatest weapon was his ability to adapt, which makes it very hard to beat him with 1 strategy. Usually after a few rounds he will adapt. The mere fact that Floyd defends well, does not implicate that he can't attack.

That won't work. He won't chase. You have to pressure and smother him without him smothering you. Which is what I thought Canelo was going to do but he went full potato and tried to box him. JLC was the closest to beating him

They also need to show young fighters how to cut off the ring. Blows my mind that most fighters need serious help in that department
