    Margarito is underrated boxer.
I think it would be a nice fight both are smart and techincal boxers.

    I saying Mayweather wins UD.

If PBF wont fight Mayweather he will crush oppenets til he show himself.

Why can't people just understand that ****? LOL.

The first thing people start posting in this thread is how they think Floyd will beat his ass...blah blah etc.

I like Mayweather and he's one of my favorite fighters but he stands a good shot of getting his ass reamed....and bad.

that's why this fight has such great potential, Margarito is a conditioning ****ing beast, he does not tire out. He is going to apply pressure the whole fight, and mayweather does not have the power to discourage him, the 170 pound daniel santos didnt even have it. Mayweather can outbox him obviously but the reason this fight must be made is because there is a real good chance margarito can catch and hurt mayweather and either stop him or win a decision.

IMO.... I dont think this fight will happen anytime soon. Margarito isn't a "big name" fighter yet. He just wont bring in the PPV. There are so many other welterweight fighters out there Floyd can fight for bigger payday. But what the hell do I know.

well, if people think it will be an easy night, then the fight won't sell. the Judah fight was advertised as Mayweather's toughest challenge, but we, the boxing fans didn't buy it because we know better. if a lot of boxing experts don't give Margarito a good chance, and the public hasn't heard of him, then the fight isn't gonna sell...so it does matter what people think Floyd would do to him

I didn't PPV the Judah fight but I would pay 50 bucks for this. Someone needs to give Tony his shot.

Here's my post from a different forum:

I think Mayweather would beat Margarito but I think that it would be a great fight with tons of action. Margarito is not just a very well-trained, hard punching welterweight, he's a tough pro with heart and determination and his defence is respectable, far better than Arturo Gatti's for example. He takes a punch much better than Corrales and could dog Mayweather in a manner similar to how Castillo did in their 1st fight, taking a few punches to land a big one.

I honestly believe that Mayweather-Margarito would go down in history as 1 of the all-time great fights in the welterweight division, alongside Leonard-Hearns, Leonard-Benitez, Leonard-Duran 1, De La Hoya-Pernell Whitaker, De La Hoya-Quartey and De La Hoya-Trinidad.

I've actually read steve kim, say Margarito is the greatest threat to any fighter at welterweight and that he is being ducked. And I've read similar from other boxing reporters.
