Hunter is a dumb guys idea of an intelligent man.

He gives off the impression he is intelligent because he speaks with a calmness and assurance of an intelligent man, but if you look beyond that, it's all hot air and no substance. He has a lot to say without really saying anything. He's the same in the corner too.

He's one of the worst corner men i've heard, he rarely gives any advice on what to do in the coming round, just says things like "this fight is yours!"

I'm not a fan of his techniques but he's a great motivator. His guy was clearly out of his league but Virgil kept him motivated and berto gave his all.

That's all he can really do is be a motivator since Berto lacks the skills

I agree, I took note of this in the Angulo-Lara fight. I think he gets unwarranted hate just because....he speaks soft?

I think it's that and that he's associated with the punch and grab style of Ward, khan, and now mares. I also think people's disdain for Ward transfers to him, but I gotta say he's one of the better guys to have in the corner on fight night. What he did is more effective than hearing trainers go through the basics with their fighter when they're clearly outgunned and losing.

Difference between a corner man and a trainer.
He seems to be a good trainer.but he seems to be an average corner man

He's a smart guy. I mean there's only so much he can do with limited fighters. He knew berto was done but he was trying to talk him into it
