It's time for a new era.

I hope Floyd does retire tonight and i hope Manny retires if slave master Arum allows him. Maybe after a farewell fight.

It's time for the new blood now. I wouldn't want to see Floyd or Manny too being beaten by guys who couldn't have laced their gloves. It will be nice to go on forums without sifting through ridiculous arguments between their fanboys just to find some decent boxing talk. Both guys are almost done in my opinion. Mayweather doesn't have 3 minutes fight per round in him anymore. He just disguises his age well but he has been the best of his era and that's all you can be. And Manny has no venom left in him, the ingredient which made him great.

It's time for a new era in boxing now and i think boxing is in decent shape. I just hope we get PPV fights rather than PPV stars. I have massive respect for Floyd's accomplishments but there's no way him v Berto or Guerrero is a PPV fight. So i hope the new era breeds genuine PPV fights that people can justify spending their money on, rather than PPV stars, it might force fighters to take the best fights out there if they want that PPV money.

Yes, yes. Bring on the new crop who will hopefully produce exciting fights that drives people toward boxing, instead of away from it.

Agreed with the sentiments, but there will still be fanboy talk.

Just wait till the GGG-Ward discussions heat up again.

Yeah but i don't think it will be anywhere near as bad as Floyd v Manny. That transcended sports and even people who don't watch boxing were taking sides. At least GGG-Ward will generally remain amongst boxing fans. Also, more than 5 years now we've had to endure the nonsense.

The new era won't start until manny retires since dummies like khan will sit out and not take good fights in hope of hitting the lottery

I really think the fighters calling the shots should actively push other fighters to take better opponents. They have incredible influence they could use if they thought to do so.
