I agree this fight was godawful, and Berto is a bum. But Floyd looks washed up and at one point I thought he was going to get caught. We have to remember, he has been fighting back to back young giants and he aint the same fighter. Marcos was 17lbs heavier than Floyd and he layed it on him. Ever since that first fight, Floyd has been off. I thought Floyd expected Berto to stand still and take a beating. Berto just started coming forward, and actually fought better than Pacman.

Once he started to apply pressure, I knew this would be a boring fight with Floyd running. But again, dude is damn near 40 and he really couldnt hurt Berto like I thought he was going to! He should retire, because that 50-0 is MILES away, and anything can happen at this age!

Love him or hate him, he's the absolute best of his era and that's why he was always held to a much higher standard than everyone in his era and even people from the past.

49-0, 26-0 in championship fights, P4P best for like 10 years of his career and top 10 P4P since the 90s, 18 year world champion, 5 weight classes.

That being said, I think he couldn't make a better decision than to retire, the Floyd Mayweather that I know is looooooooong gone, has been since 2012, but every champion has these last 1 or 2 performances in him and his were against Canelo and Pacquiao, definitley time to hang them up.

Thanks champ, u had ur own style and u were successful with it, inside and outside of the ring.

                      Out with a whimper...
I have always tried to refrain from going in on Floyd, although I'm not a big fan of his style. However, after tonight, I for one, will be glad to see him gone from the sport. With every tick of the clock, the less palatable his style is to watch. It isn't that beautiful "hit, and not get hit" artistry that made even the most entrenched naysayers respect his skills. He now fights scared, with few and far between moments of the other-worldly prowess that made him the best of his generation. He failed tonight to give the fans something to remember him by, and missed a once-in-a-lifetime chance to put a final stamp on a great career in his last fight ever.
His performance was the very definition of anti-climactic as referenced by the lukewarm reaction by the crowd during his post-fight interview.
We won't forget the fights against Genaro, Chico, and Gatti - but nobody will remember Floyd's last fight vs Andre Berto.
Time to hang 'em up Floyd.
