Not even on Google News - What a flop

4 Hours before the event and it is not even one of the top stories on Google News. You probably don't even know what I'm talking about since no one is even remotely interested in it.

    But just remember.

Floyd Mayweather has been a good thing for boxing.

I thought i came across an article saying it was doing good numbers and should put up Maidana-Mayweather numbers.

Even the IV stuff that a lot of people hoped would be a big story, even that has died

Mayweather vs Pacquiao already happened, really nothing left to see from Pacquiao or Mayweather

It will still do decent numbers or at least showtime will say it did.

mayweather isn't a great draw without the pacquiao story or a latin opponent. That's the sad reality.

Don't get me wrong, it will still do better numbers than your average PPV, after all May is the biggest name among boxing fans but the casual don't give a ****. Most of my casual sports fan friends think the pacquiao fight WAS his retirement fight. When I told them Mayweather is still fighting, they were shocked.

I have heard the exact opposite, there is no hype even on this forum, I am slightly interested in the undercard myself.

Update...sad for Floyd...Pacquiao was the draw...in the absence of Pacquiao, it was the Mexican undercard/holiday (along with the false promise of action) that was the real draw...

The thinking for picking Berto is that he may take over welterweight when Floyd retires. It is possible but he hasnt really proved himself at this point in time for a Mayweather fight

So what? Yeah this fight sucks and its not going to do good numbers but I'm pretty sure they don't give a s h i t. Mayweather-Pacquiao sold 4.4 million PPV buys smashing every record to pieces and a gazillion dollars was generated, providing insane financial gain to everyone who was involved. So now there doing a crappy fight, they don't care.
