I never believed he had power, more like the accumulation of punches that would get him the KO. In this fight he was hurting Avalos with one punch.

Valdez beats anyone his size from the island hands down. Verdejo/Valdez would be a GREAT fight and may bring back Memories Of what was once a great rivalry, But He Seems to big.

Btw, it would not be murder! Verdejo is a great prospect, but, he tends to fight in spurts and his high guard could be an issue with a solid body puncher. Him and Frankie gomez would be a great 50/50 fight!

Looking at this fight at what it was... it was a solid test for an up comer like Valdez. He passed with flying colors! He will fight again in December.
